WHY 6.0MM BULLETS?
The connection between your battery and ESC is one of the most important — and sometimes overlooked — parts of a high-performance power system.
As amperage increases, even small amounts of electrical resistance become increasingly important. Resistance can create voltage drop and heat, reducing the efficiency of the electrical path between the battery and ESC.
Electrical heating follows the basic relationship:
Power Loss = Current² × Resistance (I²R)
This is particularly important in high-amperage applications because current is squared in the equation. If current doubles while resistance remains unchanged, resistive heating increases by approximately four times.
That’s a major reason Team Exalt equipped the EXA3219 with 6.0mm bullet connections.
A properly fitted 6.0mm bullet provides a larger, robust electrical contact interface designed for high-current power systems. This can help:
- Minimize connection resistance
- Reduce voltage drop across the connection
- Reduce unwanted heat generation causing the battery cases to melt around the bullet.
- Provide a substantial electrical path between the battery and ESC
- Maintain a secure connection in demanding racing conditions
- Better support today’s powerful 1/8-scale electronics
DESIGNED WITH 1/8-SCALE RACING IN MIND
Modern 1/8 E-Buggy and E-Truggy racing places enormous demands on a power system.
Hard launches, high-traction surfaces, aggressive gearing, powerful motors, large jumps, heavy vehicles, and rapid acceleration can create substantial instantaneous current demands.
E-Truggy can be particularly demanding due to its additional vehicle weight and larger rotating tire mass.
Under these conditions, the electrical connection matters.
You can have an extremely capable battery, motor, and ESC, but the power still has to travel through the connectors joining those components together. A connection with unnecessary resistance can become a source of heat and voltage loss when current demand increases.
