Description
Gen-Xe 13.5T Bronze Spec Brushless Motor
EXAGE135
Team Exalt GEN-XE Spec Motor
The exceptional performance of the GEN-X / GEN-XE Series begins at the very core of the motor — the stator. Designed entirely in-house, the GEN-X stator architecture was developed to maximize usable torque and efficiency while maintaining stable RPM and legal output across all sanctioned stock classes.
Unlike traditional stock motor designs that rely on incremental updates, the GEN-X platform was engineered from the ground up as a complete system. Every internal component was redesigned to work together to deliver smoother power delivery, lower operating temperatures, and repeatable performance from the first lap to the last.
Advanced Stator Design
At the heart of the GEN-XE motor is a newly developed stator featuring a revised lamination profile and optimized Y-tip geometry. This design reduces magnetic turbulence while increasing effective flux density, allowing the motor to generate strong torque without sacrificing RPM.
High-quality copper magnet wire is selected and wound to tightly controlled tolerances to maintain resistance near the legal minimum. The winding process and insulation system are engineered to promote thermal stability, reducing resistance drift and performance fade over the course of a race.
For applications that permit epoxy, the GEN-XE variant incorporates a high-temperature epoxy-reinforced stator. This reinforcement improves mechanical rigidity, dampens vibration, and enhances heat transfer away from the lamination stack, resulting in improved consistency during long mains and high-load conditions.
Precision Rotor Assembly
The GEN-XE rotor system utilizes a precision-balanced 12.5 mm rotor platform engineered to take full advantage of dimensional regulations while delivering smooth, fade-resistant power.
A low-resin, high-strength magnet formulation minimizes thermal degradation and maintains magnetic strength deeper into each run. Tight control of rotor length and airgap tolerances ensures predictable throttle response, strong mid-range pull, and stable RPM throughout the race.
The rotor is supported by high-quality ceramic bearings, standard across all GEN-X performance levels, providing reduced friction, improved efficiency, and long-term reliability under high RPM loads.
Cooling & Mechanical Structure
Externally, the GEN-XE motor features a rigid, race-focused can design with optimized ventilation to promote efficient airflow through the stator window and across the rotor. Directional cooling channels guide airflow where it is most effective, reducing internal temperatures and slowing IR rise during extended runs.
A machined endbell structure increases overall rigidity and prevents timing plate flex under load, while the reinforced rear plate maintains precise sensor alignment even after impacts or prolonged use.
High-Accuracy Sensor System
A high-quality, precision-aligned sensor board completes the GEN-XE internal assembly. Enhanced hall-element positioning and revised PCB trace routing reduce electrical noise and improve signal accuracy, resulting in smoother startup, cleaner throttle response, and stable ESC communication across the entire RPM range.
